Do you Depend on Him?

Posted on August 24, 2024 by alexis

We’ve previously talked about how willing you are to do as the Lord says. Today, the topic is how dependent are you? To phrase it differently, how much do you place in his hands? As followers of Christ we are supposed to give him everything, to trust him with everything. Every single problem, success, tear, broken heart; both positive and negative.

Some people depend on the Lord more than others. For some, he is all they have. The Lord can and will take care of you in all situations big and small. If something is bugging you, hand it over to God and truly let it be lifted from your heart. In my opinion, stress and worrying were never meant to weigh on our hearts. We’re meant to trust in the Lord with everything we have, and to let him carry us. We can do nothing without him. He knows us better than we do.

He created us, and watches over us each and every day. If you have friends, you probably tell them if you’re excited about something or if you’re sad, angry, stressed. So why don’t tell God? Of course, he does hear you when you talk to others, but he still wants you to tell him at a separate time. Lean on him when you’re strong andweak.

He truly wants to take care of you, bear the weight of all your problems, and celebrate with you in your successes. Even if the Lord isn’t all you have, act like he is, because he is really all that matters. Lord, let us rely on you in all things, big and small, trusting that you have us covered and taken care of. Amen.
